Komische Köpfe by Kike – Exhibition

The people-photographer Kike has a passion for german cabaret and comedians. He now dedicates this passion to a special exhibition named “Komische Koepfe”. For this project he asked well known german comedians to show their FACES only and sketch the rest of their body individually. Kike has portrayed comedians such as Jürgen von der Lippe, Bernhard Hoecker, Bürger Lars Dietrich, Tom Gerhard, Markus Majowski and many more.

The concept is both simple as well as creative: At the photo shoot every comedian stuck his head through a coloured background in order to focus exclusively on the facial expressions. The portraits were then personalized with a self-drawn body by every comedian. This special form of collaboration between photographer and comedian created a series of individual artworks.

Program for the vernissage and finissage of the exhibition:

At the vernissage, visitors will get the chance to create their own personal “Komischen Kopf” in a photo booth created especially for this event. Some of the portrayed comedians will be expected at the opening.

The highlight of the finissage will be a stand-up comedy program where comedians such as Ingmar Stadelmann and Martin “Gotti” Gottschild perform parts of their comedy programs.
