Once again David Belliveau is returning to ESDIP to share his digital painting knowledge! For this summer season, what better subject to explore than colouring.
Over the course of 8 interactive workshops (each running for 2 hours), you will learn about the whole colouring process of digital painting, from grayscale to stunning coloured images. An approach from color to value will also be taught.
- Week one: Rendering workflow and value. Each student will be ask to created a unique image.
- Week two: Colour theory and workflow in photoshop. How to choose harmonious colours.
- Week three: Polishing, colouring and final rendering, Tips and Techniques to create a faster workflow.
- Week four: Post production + colour to value, a new way to approach digital colouring.
Along the way you’ll learn a ton of great tips and techniques that will help you build your confidence, and develop skills for your digital painting. Classes will consist of both teaching and exercises, so you will get lots of hands-on practice time.
› A Wacom tablet

› Photoshop software (CS5 and +) installed
› Good knowledge of Photoshop and Wacom products
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
David Belliveau’s personal approach of teaching is based on segmented practice. As a self-taught illustrator he is always learning and enjoys passing his knowledge onto his students. Always ready to sit down to explain every detail, no student will be left behind.
